Learning objectives

Upon completing the course, the student can
- use written and oral Swedish in his or her work tasks as required by Act 424/2003
- present his or her professional field in Swedish in writing and orally
- describe special competence of his or her profession and its role in multiprofessional cooperation
- present operational principles of multiprofessional cooperation and cooperation networks

Content

Field-specific core competence and presentation of one’s own work and work environment in Swedish (material and glossary). Interviews with and supervision of different customers in Swedish in customer situations, bilingual Finland as a work environment. Concept of multiprofessionalism, needs and significance of multiprofessionalism in social services and health care. Networks as providers of well-being, bilingual Finland as a work environment

Further information

The written and spoken skills will be assessed separately, and these grades will form the basis of the student's grade of the so called virkamiesruotsi, the Knowledge of Languages Required of Personnel in Public Bodies, according to Act 424 /2003.

Teaching methods

Learning methods include independent studying based on the material provided in Moodle, according to the instructions.
During the last week of the course, there will be a word test arrenged in Moodle. (The date will be announced in Moodle)
All the assignments required have to be handed in before the the word test. (Deadline will be announced in Moodle)

The grades 1-3 signify the student's fair knowledge of Swedish language, whereas the grades 4-5 signify the student´s good knowledge of Swedish language .
