The goal of the course is to learn the general principals of strength calculation. After the course the student is able to calculate simple mechanical cases like normal stress or bending stress.

Axial load
Stress and strain
Determination of safety factor
Shear stress
Bending stress and deformation of beam
Torsion
Linear buckling
General state of stress
Von Mises and Tresca criterions
