Osaamistavoitteet

The student is able to create product models for sheet metal parts. In addition, the student is able to draw up manufacturing drawings of sheet metal parts with tolerance and welding symbols. The student understands the factors affecting manufacturability of sheet metal parts. The student is able to take into account the effect of different materials in sheet metal cutting, bending and welding. The student knows welding safety issues. The student becomes familiar with the key concepts in welding technology. In addition, the student becomes familiar with the most common welding processes and their characteristics and the principles of welding device technologies. The student will know the most common welding groove manufacturing methods and will obtain the basics in repair welding, welding quality assurance and economic factors of welding. The student gets an understanding of a sheet metal manufacturing process, from its design to finished products.
