Osaamistavoitteet

After having passed the course, the student understands the kinematics and dynamics of a rigid body in rotational motion. He/she masters the determination of the moment of the inertia by using tables and applying Steiner’s rule. The student knows how to treat fluids in laminar flow. The student will gain the basic understanding of phenomena on atomic and nuclear scales and their practical applications in engineering. The student will gain experience in making physical measurements and reporting the results in written form. He/she will also know how to perform the error analysis for the calculations based on the measurements.
