After completing this course the student is able to:
- apply the general principles of machine design
- define machine parts' structural strength calculation requirements
- do dimensioning for axles and define stresses and trains
- design a weld for static load according Eurocode 3
- design a bolt joint and calculate tension and tightening torque
- do bearing calculations and define lifetime in different lubrication circumstances
