Learning objectives

After completing the course, student is able to
- work in accordance with the nursing values, principles and regulations
- act while understanding the limits of their responsibility
- act in professional interactions while respecting the individuality and diversity of the client/patient
- identify client’s/patient’s nutritional health, daily functional ability and need for nursing care
- help clients/patients maintain their functional abilities and advise them on basic nutrition issues and provide respectful nursing care
- work aseptically correctly according to the infection prevention and control principles
- use essential nursing methods and instruments
- recognize the principles of dialogic interaction

Content

- aseptic and Infection prevention and control
- nursing interventions: taking care of hygiene, nutrition therapy, fluid therapy and secretion
- vital functions: monitoring blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, consciousness and blood sugar
- medical treatment: implementing medical treatment and monitoring the effectiveness
- functional ability and nutrition: monitoring daily functional ability and assessing nutritional health
- structural documentation
- appreciative encounter and dialogic interaction with the client/patient

- Basics of Pharmacological Treatment

All above course must be completed either entirely or adequate parts according to the implementation plan. The Clinical Skills Exam of Nursing Assessment and Intervention course must be completed.
