After completing the course, student is able to
- explain the significance of age-friendly service structures and home-based living
- understand the model of customer and service guidance
- evaluate the functional capacity of the elderly and identify the risk factors
- explain key geriatric diseases based on evidence and master their comprehensive nursing care
- implement nursing care, supporting the self-determination and independence of the elderly in various environments
- utilize technology related to housing, communication, and service support
- implement and evaluate pharmacotherapy, understanding the specific characteristics of medication management for the elderly
- perform medication calculations accurately
- implement nursing care while ensuring functional capacity
- assess nutritional status and provide nutritional care, applying recommendations for the nutritional care of the elderly
