Learning objectives

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Utilize Excel as a tool for calculations and basic reporting.
- Describe the fundamental concepts of financial mathematics and their significance as a part of a company's business operations.
- Perform calculation tasks relevant to the tourism and hospitality industry.
- Interpret the income statement and balance sheet of a typical small to medium-sized enterprise.

- Using Excel for planning, calculation, and reporting.
- Review of percentage calculations.
- Financial data literacy.

The primary teaching language is English. Essential vocabulary and phrases relevant to the course topic are also going to be learned in Finnish.
