Learning objectives

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Define the key concepts of the event industry and the essential processes of event production.
- Identify various event execution environments and service concepts.
- Describe the significance of events within the industry.
- Identify the key notification, permit, agreement, quality, and safety matters related to event production.
- Define the importance of responsibility and sustainable development in event production.
- Act as part of event planning and/or implementation tasks.

- Fundamental concepts and key service concepts.
- Event production process.
- Trends and future of the event industry.
- Consumer safety.
- Event responsibility and regional impact.
- Work-related project (including risk analysis, safety plan).
- Co-operation with Finnish speaking students

Further information

Additionally, you have the opportunity to complete the Tourism Industry Safety Passport (MATUPA) at your own expense. Completing the safety passport is part of optional professional studies (1 ECTS)
