Learning objectives
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Tell about their profession, studies, hobbies as well as daily life in Finnish.
- Discuss about topical things and cultural differences.
- Write short, formal and informal texts on topics which are familiar e.g. in email.
- Understand the main points of clear, familiar topics that are regularly encountered.
- Notice the differences between spoken and written language and to use them in appropriate ways.
- Handle predictable routine customer service situations in the tourism and hospitality industry in person and by email

- Vocabulary and themes e.g.: Finnish history, society and culture, work in tourism and hospitality industry
- Finnish structures in the level A2-B1, e.g.: time and conditional tenses, comparison of adjectives, noun cases.
