The student understands the socio-cultural factors in design, is able to investigate contemporary phenomena and values through surface design methods. The student knows the basics of sustainable pattern and color design and deepens their material knowledge.

Perspectives on fashion thinking. Patterns, prints, and color design. Color methods. Basics of pattern design.
