Learning objectives
The student is able to
- use the concepts and terminology of special education
- observe and assess the need for support according to the three-tier model
- develop learning environments and children’s growth environments to support participation
- make a goal-oriented education plan of support for a child or small group
- apply methods and practices of educational and social rehabilitation to a group of children
- use pedagogical support methods as early support in various work environments
- share professional observations in a reflective manner in multiprofessional cooperation networks in the social and health care sector
Content
Three-tier support and assessment, educational and social rehabilitation, early rehabilitation, child’s need for support and support for parenting, integration, inclusion, support measures in early childhood education and care, basic education, disability work and in child protection, multiprofessional cooperation and early intervention
Qualifications
- 90 ECTS credits of professional studies or work experience in social services, health care or education and culture.
- Students of Early Childhood Education are recommended to have had completed the course Early Childhood Education Pedagogy (SSVAI102)
