Learning objectives
The student is able to
- identify the theories and concepts of information processing and learning that underlie the process of studying
- understand differences between everyday thinking and scientific knowledge
- understand the significance of continuous learning in professional growth and the field of social work
- assess and reflect his or her own learning and describe his or her own goal-oriented studying
- assess and develop his or her skills and competence, study skills and learning strategies of the university of applied sciences
- understand the meaning of cooperative learning
- understand the process of professional growth in developing professional identity and expertise
- identify various learning environments and act in them in a self-directed manner

- theories of information processing, everyday thinking and scientific knowledge
- source criticality and multi-literacy
- learning how to learn and learning strategies and styles at a university of applied sciences
- continuous learning, transfer effect and reflective approach to work, self-management and eLearning
- concepts of learning, cooperative learning, learning from peers and exploratory learning
