Learning objectives
After completing the course, the student:
Clinical Chemistry:
- knows the structures and chemistry of enzymes, vitamins, trace elements and hormones
- can describe the importance of clinical chemistry studies in patient care
- can define the concepts of clinical chemistry
- understand the principles of analysis methods used in clinical chemistry
- knows how to carry out basic tests in clinical chemistry applying theoretical knowledge and following the steps of the clinical laboratory testing process
- knows the principles of quality management in the sample testing process and knows how to apply them in evaluating the reliability of the results
- knows the principles of work and patient safety and follows them when working
- knows the principles of sustainable development
- know national and international clinical chemistry information sources
Physics:
- understand and know how to apply the phenomenon of particle motion in an electric field
Pharmacology:
- can describe the action of medicinal substances at the receptor level and their most common mechanisms of action
- know the toxicological effects of medicinal substances
- can explain the mechanisms of action of medicinal substances for laboratory tests
- can describe laboratory tests used to monitor drug treatment
- can explain toxicological laboratory tests

- adverse and synergistic effects of medicinal substances
- monitoring the response to drug treatment
- the effects of medicinal substances on laboratory tests

- hematological effects of medicinal substances
- laboratory diagnostics of poisonings
