Learning objectives

After completing the course, students will have the ability to
- understand the progression and stages of connective tissue diseases and
peri-implant diseases
- describe how connective tissue and peri-implant diseases can be prevented and treated
- describe the stages of periodontological treatment and factors influencing them (anamnesis, determination of need for treatment,
treatment plan, implementation of treatment, and evaluation of treatment results)
- determine the need for consultation and follow-up treatment
- status entries and indexes
- Instruments, equipment and devices used in periodontological oral healthcare
- describe, based on anamnesis data, the stages of determining the need for treatment, the treatment plan, the implementation of treatment and
the evaluation of the treatment result
- carry out a periodontological examination and prepare a periodontological treatment plan
- work in periodontological care ergonomically and follow the principles of
aseptic working
- use periodontological instruments and equipment and deploy safe working methods
- understand factors that influence guidance on oral self-care
- maintain used equipment

- hand instruments and their structure as well as functional their characteristics and operating areas
- anti-infective treatment

- ergonomic operation
- safe use and maintenance of periodontological instruments and equipment
