Learning objectives

The student is able to
- identify the theoretical background and work methods of guidance work with adults
- plan, support and guide clients in matters related to life management, employment, studies, income and finances
- describe the key adult social work and employment services, as well as the guidance process that promotes the ability to work/function.
- meet different clients and work with them using professional work methods

Content

- theoretical orientations and work methods and practices of adult social guidance work (e.g. solution-oriented, cognitive, sociodynamic, narrative, psychodynamic guidance theory)
- planning, support and guidance of the service needs of clients in various life situations
- the main content and work orientations of adult social work (e.g. life management, housing, finances, employment)
- different work practices of employment and social employment (e.g. services that promote and support employment, rehabilitative work activities, cross-sectoral joint service promoting employment)

90 ECTS credits of basic and professional studies in the Degree Programme of Social Services
