Learning objectives
On completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- communicate professionally in social counselling settings in social, health and welfare services
- structuring and assessing the social counselling needs of individuals, families or communities and the overall context of services
- use social counselling methods that strengthen the life management and functional capacity of individuals and families
- prepare legal documents in client work in social counselling services
- carrying out goal-oriented client work together with the client and his/her close relatives in a multidisciplinary network of experts

-theoretical orientations and working methods in counselling (solution-focused, cognitive, sociodynamic, narrative, psychodynamic counselling theory)
-social counselling methods (including preventive, guidance, rehabilitation, empowerment and community work)
-facilitating encounters and professional interaction with clients and motivation the client
