Teaching methods
3D-printing basics (theory) -course offers an overview of the current 3D-printing processes and their applications. After completing the course, the student understands the principles of different types of 3D-printing technologies and materials. Student has an understanding on different steps in common 3D-printing processes and what needs to be considered when designing a 3D-printable piece. Course also includes general overview of different 3D-scanning technologies and their use.
Student workload
The course is a self-study online course (Moodle) that can be completed at your own pace during the course.
The content is a theoretical and there are no practical laboratory exercises.
There are no separate lectures and all course material can be accessed after the course opens.

All the material needed for the course is shared via Moodle. In addition to the material needed to complete the course, additional material and links are available, some of which are in English.
