3D-printing basics (theory) -course offers an overview of the current 3D-printing processes and their applications. After completing the course, the student understands the principles of different types of 3D-printing technologies and materials. Student has an understanding on different steps in common 3D-printing processes and what needs to be considered when designing a 3D-printable piece. Course also includes general overview of different 3D-scanning technologies and their use.

Course fee for open UAS students is 75 euros.
The course is free if you are a 2nd level student (Finnish high school or vocational college), or you have completed your degree in Savonia UAS within a year.
