Teaching methods

The course can be studied independently at your own pace during the period from September 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025.

Studies include familiarizing yourself with the materials and completing learning assignments. In this course, Sitra’s Circular Economy playbook is applied as part of the assignments.

The course is evaluated based on the workbook.
The course assignments must be completed no later than July 31st, 2025.

The assignments required to complete the course can be submitted at any time to the submission folder in the course, and they will be evaluated within approximately four weeks of each return date. Feedback on the studies completed during June and July will be given and the evaluation will be done in August.

There are three submission dates in the spring semester and one in the summer semester.
The submission dates are 9.3.2025, 13.4.2025, 15.5.2025 and 31.7.2025.

Student workload

The workload of the course is approximately 135 hours of independent study.

Online materials in the learning environment and information sources independently searched by the student.

Further information

The course fee is 75 euros for the open university of applied sciences students. Another option is an annual fee of 350 euros, which covers the tuition fees for the next 12 months at the Savonia open university of applied sciences.

Within a year of graduation form the Savonia degree, you can start your studies at Savonia Open UAS free of charge. The right to study lasts for one year.
