Learning objectives

By completing the Project Management Tools course, a student will learn how to create a project schedule, and manage and control a project in an effective way using appropriate tools.

Basics about project management tools
Using spreadsheet for scheduling
How to schedule using MS Project: Gantt Chart, Baseline, Tracking, Resources and resource pool, Subproject, Customizing MS Project Gantt Chart

Basic use of Microsoft's Project software: creating a new project, filling in the basic information, user interface and views, work breakdown structure control, resourcing, cost control, tracking the project, reporting.
Other software may be included

Course is done and evaluated via exercises that are mainly done during the classes.
All exercises must be passed in order to get the course grade.
There is no exam.

Classes 13 x 4 h = 52 h
Independent work with exercises 83 h
Total 135 h
