Learning objectives

The course focuses on food chain development in multidisciplinary environment. Student is able to plan and realize problem based development task or project in multidisciplinary and international group. Student is familiar with quality management in the whole food chain and knows basics on labeling and traceability in the food chain. The student recognises the cultural and social background risk factors of food chain.

Content

Quality management in the food chain. Labeling of food products. Traceability in the food chain. Food chain development case: a topic chosen from food chain subareas such as primary and/or secondary production and/or consumer markets. Underlying values and social phenomena influencing in the food chain. Human security.
