Learning objectives

Students will gain deep understanding of sustainability in engineering and business. Students will be able to define the integration of social, environmental, and economic considerations into engineering and business processes and its supply chains and energy system design methods. Students will develop the sustainability mind-set as emerging leaders.

Content

Sustainability from different perspectives.
Driving change towards sustainability in emitting industries.
Energy, sustainability and CO2 storage challenges and solutions.
Strategic sustainability thinking.
Ethics and Artificial Intelligence in business and engineering decisions.

Assessment includes student's entire learning process. It focuses on checking to what extent the student has acquired knowledge and skills in accordance with the course objectives. To pass the course the student must participate actively in virtual part before the Carousel week and, also during the Carousel week.

This course is implemented as blended intensive programme (BIP) funded by Erasmus+ programme / Tämä opintojakso on Erasmus+ -ohjelman mukainen ns. monimuotoinen intensiivikurssi (BIP)
