Learning objectives

This course will help students develop both book smart and street smart skills for business success. They will learn how to apply design thinking principles to solve real-world problems, and how to communicate effectively with different audiences. They will also explore the differences and similarities between book smart and street smart approaches, and how to leverage their strengths and overcome their weaknesses.

The students will after completion:
• Reflect on the ways our backgrounds influence us as people
• Understand how cultures may manifest themselves within organizations and work places
• Practice business skills with experts, first hand, and finding hidden wisdom
• Survive within close cooperation with people from multiple cultures and demographic backgrounds
• Use the basics of Canva- visual design tool
