Teaching methods

The implementation is based on self-study Microsoft Learn materials and completing the tasks provided there. The materials have been selected to support the familiarization with cloud services and to provide the readiness to take the Exam AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals. Taking the AZ-900 exam is not part of the course.

The primary way of completing the course is by completing the learning tasks provided in the materials. The tasks are scheduled for the duration of the course. More detailed schedules for the tasks are available on the course's Moodle page.

The grade for the course is based on the points obtained from the learning tasks. More detailed information about grading is available on the course's Moodle page.

Student workload

The total scope of the course is approximately 135 hours, which is reserved for reading the materials and completing the tasks.

The materials for the course provide information about the possibilities and usage of modern cloud services.

The material for the course is available on the Moodle implementation of the course. The majority of the material is in English. The content on the Moodle page for the course is in Finnish.

Further information

This is a fully self-study course without any classroom teaching or lectures. At the beginning of the course, there will be an information session held via Zoom. The schedule for the information session will be announced on the Moodle page for the course.

The course is part of a Finnish-language degree program in Information Technology.
Course fee for open UAS students is 75 euros.
