Toteutuksen kuvaus

This course includes a theoretical part, assignments, peer–evaluation and a reflection on your own learning.

Individual assignments:
Define your own values and make your own statement within sustainability (max 20 points)
Fashion exam (max 10 points)

Assignments that can be done individually or in a small group:
Tracing the lifecycle or Circular Economy Fashion Business Models (max 20 points)
Create your own sustainable fashion concept in a practical, creative and innovative way.(max 50 points)

You must earn at least 50/100 points to pass the course and 91/100 points to earn excellent.

Assessment criteria
Excellent (5)
The knowledge of the subject is deeply competent, holistic and critical.
Using a diverse range of relevant references and applying data into the exercises very well.
Results have been presented very clearly and informatively and presentations are visualized effectively and informatively. Self-evaluation and reflection are deep and holistic.

Good/Very good (3-4)

The knowledge of the subject is quite competent, holistic and critical. Using relevant references and applying data into exercises well. Results have been presented clearly and informatively and presentations are visualized informatively. Self-evaluation and reflection are quite deep and holistic.

Sufficient /Satisfactory (1-2)

The knowledge of the subject is quite shallow and quite uncritical. Using references and applying data into exercises are quite shallow. The challenge of sustainable concept is defined unclear. Results answer only partially to the set goals or problems. Presentation of the results in unclear and the visualization of presentations is rather inadequate. Self-evaluation and reflection are quite shallow.

Course fee for open UAS students is 75 euros.

The purpose of this course is to provide a general view of the sustainable fashion. Students, who have enrolled in this course, have a variety of backgrounds and you can do all the assignments according to your background.
Most importantly, you will get new ideas for your further studies.

This course has a lot of material to read and learn, but you can partially select the ones that are most interesting to you and help you with the assignments. There are also study materials in video format to make your study easier.

The beginning of this course deals more with fashion problems and the rest of the course deals more with solutions. At the end of this course, you make your own proposal for more sustainable fashion.

This is a 100% online course, but interactivity for the course is created by discussions on topics and different perspectives. In this student-oriented learning process, the student is active and curiously seeks solutions to the phenomena that are the subject of learning.
