The course includes theory lectures and advanced exercises that deepen the theoretical knowledge. The course also includes engineering and laboratory assignments

• Manufacturing methods of sheet metal products and their distinctive
features
• Sheet metal automation
• Design rules of sheet metal products
• 3D modeling of sheet metal components and creation of shop
drawings with appropriate markings and symbols
Basic concepts of welding technology, terminology and standards 3ETC
• Manufacturability of welded structures
• Welding of steel and light metal alloys
• Safety issues of welding and cutting processes
• Welding processes and their equipment
• Welding groove preparation methods
• Basics of repair welding
• Economics of welding
• Sheet metal and welding exercises
Student workload
- Five Weekly exercises based on lectures. These will be done on time period from September till end of October.
- Practical project work in small groups including designing the product by Solidworks and manufacturing it in labs.
