Teaching methods
This course teaches the Finnish language needed in the tourism and restaurant industry to immigrants who have approximately A2.1 level Finnish language skills. Target language proficiency level after the course is A2.2.
This is a 100% nonstop online course where the student studies and completes assignments independently.
The language of instruction is Finnish.
The course starts 16.9.2024 and ends 31.7.2025.
You must register for the course 30.6.2025 at the latest.
The student can decide when to study, but the course assignments must be completed by 31.7.2025.
The course is assessed based on the online course assignments.
The course has voluntary Zoom lectures with the teacher. We recommend participating in them.
There are 10 Zoom meetings and they are on Wednesdays at 13:00.

Student workload
It takes about 135 hours to complete the course.
Students can participate in Zoom lectures, which are voluntary. We recommend participating in them.
