Responsible person

  • Tapio Korpijaakko

Learning objectives

After completing the course, the student is able to
- understand how e.g. physics and chemistry are related to practical work in mechanical engineering
- perceive of what a project-based learning is about
- work independently and as a member of the project group
- understand, in a concrete way, a product development/ production process from an idea to a physical prototype.

Content

- Project management and project documentation
- Use of information technology
- The basics of natural sciences studies (physics, chemistry)
- The basics of the program-specific studies

Further information

The course is recommended to do simultaneously with the course 'Communication Skills for Engineering Students'.
