The student knows the most common jewelry manufacturing technologies and can utilize them in jewelry design and manufacturing. The student knows the most common gem setting methods and can utilize them in jewelry design and manufacturing. The student knows the most common precious metal materials and gemstones used in jewelry.

Content

Jewelry manufacturing techniques: sheet, casting, forging.
Gem setting: tube and bezel setting, burnishing.
Enameling. Precious metal science. Diamond and gemstone science.
